The James Monroe Mavericks basketball team scored 68 points and limited the host Narrows Green Waves to 50 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mavericks now possess a 10-2 record. They play next when they host Wyoming East for a Coalfield AA game on Friday, January 31. James Monroe will confront a Warriors team coming off a 69-38 league win over Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, Narrows falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Green waves travel to Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA) to confront the Mustangs in a Pioneer game on Friday, January 31. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 10-6. Eastern Montgomery lost 89-75 in their recent league game against Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA)
