The Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) basketball crushed the visiting NCSSM: Morganton Dragons (Morganton, NC), 83-36 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Mountaineers now possess a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Rosman for a 1A/2A Western Highlands bout on Thursday, January 30. Mitchell will play a Tigers team coming off a 68-16 league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 1-14.
