The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Clover Garden School Grizzlies (Burlington, NC) and the host Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC), observed Clover Garden School's basketball team overcome Cornerstone Charter by a margin of 36-18.

The Grizzlies (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against River Mill (Graham, NC). The Jaguars come into the 1A Central Tar Heel challenge with a 3-18 record. In their last challenge, River Mill dropped by Southern Wake Academy (Holly Springs, NC), 29-16, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Carver Yellowjackets (Winston-Salem, NC) in a 1A Northwest Piedmont challenge, on Friday, January 31. Cornerstone Charter will attempt to better on its 7-14 season record.
