Rising Sun Tigers (North East, MD) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Patterson Mill (Bel Air, MD), 42-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rising Sun upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to North Harford (Pylesville, MD) to play the Hawks in a Upper Chesapeake Bay - Susquehanna bout on Thursday, January 5. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 8-1. North Harford won 50-24 in their recent league bout against Edgewood (Edgewood, MD)

Next up, the play the Joppatowne Mariners (Joppa, MD) in a Upper Chesapeake Bay - Susquehanna bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Patterson Mill will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Mariners come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 40-39 league loss to North East (North East, MD).
