The Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) basketball toppled the visiting Bradford Prep Bears (Charlotte, NC), 68-50 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Providence Day for a NCISAA Charlotte Independent bout on Tuesday, January 7. Covenant Day will play a Chargers team coming off a 86-66 non-league win over St. Albans (Washington, DC). The Chargers record now stands at 13-4.

With the loss, Bradford Prep falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Christ the King (Huntersville, NC) to play the Crusaders in a 1A/2A Catawba Shores bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Christ the King lost 63-51 in their recent non-league bout against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC)
