Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Desert Ridge Jaguars (Mesa, AZ), 57-55 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Mountain Ridge advances its record to 8-7 on the year. The Mountain Lions travel to John Paul II (Plano, TX) to face the Cardinals in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Cardinals enter the match with a record of 13-12. John Paul II won 61-58 in their recent non-league match against Verrado (Buckeye, AZ)

The Jaguars now own a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Campo Verde for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 7. Desert Ridge will meet a Coyotes squad coming off a 54-37 non-league loss to Judge Memorial Catholic (Salt Lake City, UT). The Coyotes record now stands at 5-7.
