In Friday's league test, the Geibel Catholic Gators (Connellsville, PA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting St. Joseph Spartans (Natrona Heights, PA), by a score of 70-57.

Next, the Gators encounter the Neighborhood Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 2 test, on Tuesday, January 7. Geibel Catholic will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record.
