In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Rancho Rams basketball team scored a close 76-70 triumph over the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts.

The Rams (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against ALA - Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ). The Patriots go into the non-league contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, ALA - Queen Creek nipped Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ), 76-71, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Thunderbolts confront the Canyon del Oro Dorados (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Mica Mountain will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Dorados come into the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 77-43 non-league win over Douglas (Douglas, AZ).
