North Carolina High School Basketball - North East Carolina Prep holds off Perquimans

January 3, 2025: Hertford, NC 27944

The North East Carolina Prep Husky basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Perquimans Pirates to 54 in the Husky league triumph on Friday.

The Husky now possess a 8-2 record. They play next when they host Hobgood Charter for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 7. North East Carolina Prep will confront a Raiders team coming off a 63-50 non-league loss to Weldon (Weldon, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Perquimans falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Washington County (Plymouth, NC) to confront the Panthers in a 1A Four Rivers game on Tuesday, January 7. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 6-0. Washington County won 56-43 in their recent non-league game against Holmes (Edenton, NC)
