The Northwest Halifax Vikings basketball team scored 82 points and limited the visiting Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars to 42 in the Vikings league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to North Edgecombe for a 1A Tar Roanoke game on Tuesday, January 7. Northwest Halifax will play a Warriors team coming off a 81-50 non-league loss to Tarboro (Tarboro, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Rocky Mount Prep falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Weldon (Weldon, NC) to play the Chargers in a 1A Tar Roanoke game on Friday, January 10. The Chargers go into the game with a record of 1-5.
