In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets basketball team scored a good 54-42 triumph over the Benjamin Franklin Chargers.

The Yellow Jackets (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Eastmark (Mesa, AZ). The Firebirds go into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Eastmark topped Ironwood (Glendale, AZ), 49-36, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Chargers confront the Verrado Vipers (Buckeye, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Benjamin Franklin will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record.
