New Mexico High School Basketball - Organ Mountain over Mayfield
January 30, 2023: Las Cruces, NM 88007 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Organ Mountain Knights (Las Cruces, NM) and the host Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM), saw Organ Mountain's basketball squad overcome Mayfield by a tally of 63-53.
With the victory, Organ Mountain improves its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Knights host Gadsden (Anthony, NM) to play the Panthers in a 5A District 3 challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 4-15. Gadsden lost 77-33 in their recent league challenge against Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM)
Next up, the Trojans play the Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Thursday, February 2. Mayfield will attempt to improve on its 4-16 season record. The Bulldawgs come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 64-50 league win over Centennial (Las Cruces, NM).
