Virginia High School Basketball - Riverside holds off Briar Woods

In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Riverside Ram basketball team scored a close 65-58 triumph over the Briar Woods Falcons.

The Ram (18-1) will now prepare for their contest against Potomac Falls (Sterling, VA). The Panthers go into the Potomac contest with a 15-2 record. In their last contest, Potomac Falls nipped Independence (Ashburn, VA), 64-49, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Falcons confront the Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. Briar Woods will attempt to better on its 6-11 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 7-5 record after their 78-46 league loss to Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV).
