The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the South Charlotte Thunder (Matthews, NC) and the host Hickory Christian Academy Knights (Hickory, NC), observed South Charlotte's basketball team edge Hickory Christian Academy by a margin of 76-69.

The Thunder (8-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Norman Christian (Davidson, NC). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 16-11 record. In their last challenge, Lake Norman Christian was tipped by Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC), 87-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights battle the University Christian Barracudas (Hickory, NC) in a NCISAA Foothills challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Hickory Christian Academy will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record.
