In Thursday's non-league contest, the host North Valley Christian Academy Lions basketball team scored a big 72-37 triumph over the Tempe Prep Knights.

The Lions (15-5) will now prepare for their contest against Phoenix Christian (Phoenix, AZ). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, Phoenix Christian smashed Madison Highland Prep (Phoenix, AZ), 77-63, in a league contest.
