The Upper Moreland Bears (Willow Grove, PA) basketball edged the host Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA), 59-57 in Thursday's league bout.

The Bears now possess a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Lower Moreland for a Suburban One - Freedom bout on Tuesday, February 4. Upper Moreland will play a Lions team coming off a 67-64 league loss to William Tennent (Warminster, PA). The Lions record now stands at 11-9.
