Maryland High School Basketball - St. Charles topples Leonardtown
January 31, 2024: Leonardtown, MD 20650 In Wednesday's league outing, the St. Charles (Waldorf, MD) basketball squad beat the host Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD), by a count of 59-49.
The (13-3) will now prepare for their challenge against McDonough (Pomfret, MD). The Rams come into the Southern Maryland challenge with a 14-2 record. In their last challenge, McDonough toppled La Plata (La Plata, MD), 59-41, in a league challenge.
Next up, the Raiders play the North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Friday, February 2. Leonardtown will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 66-52 league loss to Chopticon (Morganza, MD).
