The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets nipped the visiting Cherryville Ironmen basketball squad by a final score of 66-59 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Yellow Jackets clash with the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont outing, on Tuesday, February 4. Bessemer City will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Warriors enter the outing with a 3-16 record after their 61-58 league loss to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC).
