In Friday's league test, the Center Roughriders (Center, TX) basketball squad trounced the visiting Rusk Eagles (Rusk, TX), by a score of 87-38.

Next, the Roughriders encounter the Palestine Wildcats (Palestine, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 test, on Tuesday, February 4. Center will attempt to improve on its 15-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 13-15 record after their 66-53 league loss to Bullard (Bullard, TX).

The Eagles (12-14) will now prepare for their test against Hudson (Lufkin, TX). The Hornets come into the 4A Region III District 17 test with a 14-16 record. In their last test, Hudson was routed by Madisonville (Madisonville, TX), 47-30, in a league test.
