The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) and the host Paramount Pirates (Paramount, CA), observed Downey's basketball team overwhelm Paramount by a score of 70-45.

The Vikings (18-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Bellflower (Bellflower, CA). The Buccaneers come into the San Gabriel Valley challenge with a 19-8 record. In their last challenge, Bellflower trounced Firebaugh (Lynwood, CA), 66-39, in a league challenge.
