The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC) and the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), observed Ledford's basketball team overwhelm Montgomery Central by a score of 89-50.

The Panthers (16-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Grizzlies come into the 3A Mid-Piedmont challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, Oak Grove trounced North Davidson (Lexington, NC), 77-54, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Timberwolves encounter the Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC) in a 3A Mid-Piedmont challenge, on Tuesday, February 4.
