Iowa High School Basketball - Nevada thwarts Prairie City-Monroe
January 31, 2025: Nevada, IA 50201 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA) and the visiting Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA), observed Nevada's basketball team knock off Prairie City-Monroe by a score of 55-36.
The Cubs (15-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Perry (Perry, IA). The Bluejays come into the Heart of Iowa - Large challenge with a 11-6 record. In their last challenge, Perry prevailed over Atlantic (Atlantic, IA), 75-73, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA) in a Heart of Iowa - Large challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Prairie City-Monroe will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 0-20 record after their 76-29 league loss to West Marshall (State Center, IA).
