The Western Plains Bobcats (Ransom, KS) basketball were winner over the visiting Northern Valley Huskies (Almena, KS), 48-38 in Friday's league bout.

The Bobcats now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Golden Plains for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. Western Plains will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 73-23 league loss to Logan/Palco (Logan, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-9.
