In Friday's league test, the Tamaqua Blue Raiders (Tamaqua, PA) basketball squad trounced the visiting Panther Valley Panthers (Lansford, PA), by a score of 69-45.

Next, the Blue Raiders clash with the North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA) in a Schuylkill County 1 test, on Tuesday, February 4. Tamaqua will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 3-15 record after their 82-34 league loss to Minersville (Minersville, PA).

The Panthers (12-9) will now prepare for their test against Pottsville (Pottsville, PA). The Crimson Tide come into the Schuylkill County 1 test with a 15-6 record. In their last test, Pottsville bounced Mahanoy Area (Mahanoy City, PA), 36-34, in a league test.
