The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) and the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), observed Weddington's basketball team knock off Porter Ridge by a score of 72-62.

The Warriors (13-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans come into the 4A Southern Carolina challenge with a 4-10 record. In their last challenge, Sun Valley was knocked off by Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC), 2-0, in a league challenge.
