North Carolina High School Basketball - Weddington knocked off by Cox Mill

The Cox Mill Chargers basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Weddington Warriors to 62 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Chargers now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host A.L. Brown for a 4A Conference 57 contest on Friday, January 6. Cox Mill will meet a Wonders team coming off a 62-55 league loss to West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Wonders record now stands at 1-10.

The Warriors (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers enter the 4A Conference 58 contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Piedmont ran past Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC), 63-59, in a league contest.
