The Weeki Wachee Hornets basketball team (Weeki Wachee, FL), was toppled 46-31 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting River Ridge Royal Knights (New Port Richey, FL)

The Royal Knights now possess a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gulf for a 5A District 6 battle on Thursday, January 5. River Ridge will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 61-29 non-league win over Palm Harbor University (Palm Harbor, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 8-6.

The Hornets (12-4) will now prepare for their battle against Cypress Creek (Wesley Chapel, FL). The Coyotes come into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Cypress Creek beat Hudson (Hudson, FL), 65-33, in a non-league battle.
