The Brookstone Cougars were victorious over the host Lamar County Trojans basketball squad by a final score of 64-56 in Saturday's non-league outing.

Next, the Cougars face the Westfield School Hornets (Perry, GA) in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 5 outing, on Tuesday, January 7. Brookstone will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Hornets enter the outing with a 5-6 record after their 71-55 non-league loss to Stratford Academy (Macon, GA).

The Trojans (5-8) will now prepare for their outing against Greenforest (Decatur, GA). The Eagles enter the A D1 Region 4 outing with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, Greenforest was dropped by Wheeler (Marietta, GA), 67-53, in a non-league outing.
