The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mojave Rattlers (North Las Vegas, NV) and the visiting Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ), observed Mojave's basketball team edge Highland by a score of 59-53.

The Rattlers (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Desert Pines (Las Vegas, NV). The Jaguars come into the 5A Southern challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Desert Pines was tipped by Pacifica Christian/Orange County (Newport Beach, CA), 75-70, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Mesa Jackrabbits (Mesa, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Highland will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Jackrabbits come into the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 61-44 non-league win over Willow Canyon (Surprise, AZ).
