In Saturday's non-league test, the Hillcrest Knights (Idaho Falls, ID) basketball squad got by the visiting Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO), by a score of 53-51.

Next, the Knights encounter the Century Diamondbacks (Pocatello, ID) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, January 8. Hillcrest will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Diamondbacks come into the test with a 0-11 record after their 38-28 non-league loss to Uintah (Vernal, UT).

The Mavericks (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Legacy (Broomfield, CO). The Lightning come into the 6A/5A/4A Granite Peaks test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Legacy was nipped by Arvada West (Arvada, CO), 35-26, in a non-league test.
