The Newark Memorial Cougars basketball squad (Newark, CA), was outscored 48-36 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Piedmont Hills Pirates (San Jose, CA)

With the victory, Piedmont Hills advances its record to 6-5 on the year. The Pirates travel to Hill (San Jose, CA) to meet the Falcons in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 9. The Falcons enter the battle with a record of 4-7.
