The North Florida Educational Institute Fighting Eagles basketball squad (Jacksonville, FL), was nudged 53-52 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Trinity Catholic Celtics (Ocala, FL)

With the victory, Trinity Catholic advances its record to 8-5 on the year. The Celtics host Dunnellon (Dunnellon, FL) to meet the Tigers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 7-5. Dunnellon lost 65-36 in their recent non-league battle against West Florida (Pensacola, FL)

The Fighting Eagles now own a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ribault for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 8. North Florida Educational Institute will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 59-18 non-league win over Sandalwood (Jacksonville, FL). The Trojans record now stands at 11-6.
