The Life Prep Fire (Park City, KS) basketball knocked off the host Independent Panthers (Wichita, KS), 45-25 in Friday's non-league test.

The Fire (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Veritas Christian (Lawrence, KS). The Eagles go into the Freelance test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Veritas Christian went down by Faith Christian Academy (Kansas City, MO), 53-33, in a league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Cheney for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 9. Independent will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 48-34 non-league win over Garden Plain (Garden Plain, KS). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-1.
