In Wednesday's league test, the Portage Mustangs (Portage, PA) basketball squad knocked off the host Penns Manor Comets (Clymer, PA), by a score of 72-55.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Homer-Center Wildcats (Homer City, PA) in a Heritage test, on Friday, January 10. Portage will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 9-4 record after their 47-45 league win over Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA).

The Comets (6-6) will now prepare for their test against Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA). The Blue Jays come into the Heritage test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Conemaugh Valley beat Marion Center (Marion Center, PA), 64-55, in a league test.
