The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Mid-Carolina Rebels (Prosperity, SC) and the visiting Strom Thurmond Rebels (Johnston, SC), observed Mid-Carolina's basketball team edge Strom Thurmond by a score of 30-27.

The Rebels (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Chester (Chester, SC). The Cyclones come into the challenge with a 4-1 record.

In their next game, the Rebels encounter the Silver Bluff Bulldogs (Aiken, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Strom Thurmond will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record.
