Michigan High School Basketball - St. Mary's Prep can't get by IMG Academy
January 9, 2025: Orchard Lake, MI 48324 IMG Academy Ascenders (Bradenton, FL) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host St. Mary's Prep Eaglets (Orchard Lake, MI), 67-62 in a non-league match.
With the victory, IMG Academy advances its record to 12-2 on the year. The Ascenders travel to Link Academy (Branson, MO) to meet the Lions in a Nike Elite match on Saturday, January 11. The Lions enter the match with a record of 10-4. Link Academy lost 70-55 in their recent league match against Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, UT)
The Eaglets now own a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Lansing for a non-league match on Saturday, January 11. St. Mary's Prep will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 56-36 league win over Holt (Holt, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 9-1.
