Straughn Tigers (Andalusia, AL) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Opp Bobcats (Opp, AL), 53-45 in a league match.

With the victory, Straughn upgrades its record to 9-13 on the year. The Tigers host Bullock County (Union Springs, AL) to face the Hornets in a 4A Area 4 match on Monday, January 13. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 3-11.

The Bobcats now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Geneva County for a non-league match on Friday, January 10. Opp will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 66-56 league win over Samson (Samson, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-11.
