The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Fountain Central Mustangs (Veedersburg, IN) and the visiting Western Boone Stars (Thorntown, IN), observed Fountain Central's basketball team knock off Western Boone by a score of 49-39.

The Mustangs (14-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Covington (Covington, IN). The Trojans come into the Wabash River challenge with a 4-11 record.

In their next game, the Stars battle the Clinton Prairie Gophers (Frankfort, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Western Boone will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Gophers come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 53-47 non-league win over Seeger (West Lebanon, IN).
