The Independence Falcons (Bakersfield, CA) basketball were winner over the visiting Liberty Patriots (Bakersfield, CA), 50-34 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Falcons now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Ridgeview for a South Yosemite - Valley bout on Tuesday, January 14. Independence will play a Wolf Pack team coming off a 54-46 non-league loss to Sanger (Sanger, CA). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 6-8.

With the loss, Liberty falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Patriots host Frontier (Bakersfield, CA) to play the Titans in a South Yosemite - River bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Frontier won 61-32 in their recent non-league bout against Redwood (Visalia, CA)
