In Friday's league match, the host McDowell Trojans football squad scored a good 45-27 victory over the Cathedral Prep Ramblers.

With the win, McDowell advances its record to 3-4 on the season. The Trojans travel to Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH) to play the Falcons in a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. The Falcons go into the battle with a record of 5-1. Austintown-Fitch won 14-7 in their recent non-league battle against Perry (Massillon, OH)

The Ramblers now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Benedictine for a non-league battle on Friday, October 10. Cathedral Prep will play a Bengals team coming off a 28-7 non-league win over Lutheran East (Cleveland Heights, OH). The Bengals record now stands at 5-1.
