North Carolina High School Football - Covenant Day falls to Hickory Grove Christian

October 3, 2025: Charlotte, NC 28215

The Hickory Grove Christian Lions felled the visiting Covenant Day Lions football team by a score of 36-7 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions meet the Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors (Durham, NC) in a non-league test, on Friday, October 10. Hickory Grove Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Mighty Warriors come into the test with a 3-2 record after their 36-16 non-league loss to Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC).

With the defeat, Covenant Day drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Lions host SouthLake Christian Academy (Huntersville, NC) to meet the Eagles in a NCISAA Big 6 test on Friday, October 10. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 2-4. SouthLake Christian Academy lost 38-0 in their recent league test against High Point Christian Academy (High Point, NC)
