Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Jacobs improves its record to 14-15 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL) to encounter the Fighting Saints in a non-league test on Saturday, October 4.
