First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Nighthawks clash with the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A match, on Tuesday, October 10. First Flight will attempt to advance on its 11-8 season record. The Aces come into the match with a 12-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Currituck County (Barco, NC).

With the loss, Hertford County drops to 5-10 on the campaign. The Bears host Camden County (Camden, NC) to clash with the Bruins in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A match on Tuesday, October 10.
