The Animas Panthers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Magdalena Steers to 0 in the Panthers league victory on Thursday.

The Panthers now possess a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Reserve for a 1A District 2 game on Saturday, October 8. Animas will meet a Mountaineers team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Quemado (Quemado, NM). The Mountaineers record now stands at 7-7.

The Steers (5-7) will now prepare for their game against Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM). The SonBlazers enter the 1A District 2 game with a 6-9 record. In their last game, Mesilla Valley Christian School was dropped by Capitan (Capitan, NM), 3-1, in a non-league game.
