In Friday's league game, the Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) football team smashed the host Airport Eagles (West Columbia, SC), by a final score of 56-7.

The Mustangs (7-0) will now prepare for their game against Aiken (Aiken, SC). The Fighting Green Hornets come into the AAAA Region 4 game with a 0-7 record. In their last game, Aiken was trounced by North Augusta (North Augusta, SC), 35-19, in a league game.

The Eagles now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Aiken for a AAAA Region 4 game on Thursday, October 12. Airport will battle a Thoroughbreds team coming off a 63-21 league loss to North Augusta (North Augusta, SC). The Thoroughbreds record now stands at 1-6.
