The Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) football trounced the host North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC), 55-13 in Monday's league outing.

The Eagles now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Wilkes for a 2A Foothills outing on Friday, October 11. Wilkes Central will clash with a Blackhawks squad coming off a 44-24 league loss to Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Blackhawks record now stands at 2-4.
