In Thursday's league match, the River Islands Riptide (Lathrop, CA) volleyball squad overcame the host Turlock Christian Eagles (Turlock, CA), by a count of 3-0.

In their next game, the Riptide encounter the Millennium Falcons (Tracy, CA) in a Central California Athletic Alliance battle, on Tuesday, October 14. River Islands will attempt to improve on its 20-3 season record. The Falcons go into the battle with a 4-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Yerba Buena (San Jose, CA).
