Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Comets clash with the Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA) in a Piedmont match, on Thursday, October 12. Halifax County will attempt to advance on its 11-10 season record. The Bengals come into the match with a 10-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).

With the loss, Martinsville drops to 4-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA) to clash with the Warriors in a Piedmont match on Tuesday, October 17.
