Texas High School Football - Veterans Memorial tops Harlingen

October 10, 2024: Brownsville, TX 78520

The Veterans Memorial Chargers football squad scored 40 points and limited the visiting Harlingen Cardinals to 9 in the Chargers league triumph on Thursday.

The Chargers now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hanna for a 6A Region IV District 32 test on Thursday, October 17. Veterans Memorial will meet a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 26-20 league loss to San Benito (San Benito, TX). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 1-6.

With the defeat, Harlingen drops to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Hanna (Brownsville, TX) to meet the Golden Eagles in a 6A Region IV District 32 test on Thursday, October 24. The Golden Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-6.
