Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) boosters left the game content Friday as they observed their football squad top the visiting Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), 26-14 in a league test.

The Tigers now hold a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Parkwood for a Rocky River 4A/5A test on Friday, October 17. Mount Pleasant will meet a Wolf Pack squad coming off a 40-7 league loss to Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 1-6.

With the defeat, Anson drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Monroe (Monroe, NC) to meet the Redhawks in a Rocky River 4A/5A test on Friday, October 17. The Redhawks come into the test with a record of 3-3. Monroe won 56-7 in their recent league challenge against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)
